Marcus and “Charlie Brown” from the Sioux City Community Theatre Production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

Who needs New York city?!

Marcus was introduced to Broadway, I mean the real Broadway, because I had a job that allowed me to travel to NYC once a year or more.  Had being the opperative word. So last year, when Marcus was jonsing to see You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, we decided to take a Theatre Road Trip.
We started the trip by driving north to Sioux City, then we cruised back southward to Grand Island, whose community Theatre performed Spamalot. Stayed in the Grand Island hotel and made the short trek to Hastings College to see their performance of The Little Shop of Horrors. Three shows in four days, a side trip to visit Abuela, then onward home.

The perfect mini vacation for theatre lovers!

Somewhere between a stacation and a big trip. What have you done in your region that was fun and fit the bill – without the bill – so to speak?
