This book is a compilation of five short non-fictional stories about elementary and middle school children coping with special needs. These stories are told from the child’s perspective. One child tells about coping with diabetes, one about down’s syndrome, one about blindness, one about cancer, and one about severe physical disabilities. Resource information included for each condition as well as activities teachers and parents can used in the learning process. The book addresses common core educational standards for middle school classrooms.
