One of my favorite things about this community is how we share stories and learn from each other.

We do that on our Facebook page and group, but that convenience is a fairly new phenomenon. For parents like Romy Wyllie, whose son Andrew was born in 1959, it wasn’t so easy to connect with other parents. She tells her story in her book Loving Andrew – A Fifty-Two-Year Story of Down Syndrome

I used this example of memoirs that we share in our Story Club for Q on the A to Z Blogging Challenge because memoirs are full of quotes and are some of the most authentic representations of Down syndrome in the media.

You can get great memoirs like Loving Andrew, and fiction books with characters who have Down syndrome on Scribd.
